WAF World Armwrestling Championships 2026: Singapore Athletes, Express Your Interest Now
Interested in representing Singapore on the world stage? The 47th WAF World Armwrestling Championships will take place in Delhi, India, from 26 October to 7 November 2026. Hotel and airport transfer reservations and payment are due on 26 September.
Expression-of-interest deadline: 24 September 2026 at 11:59 pm Singapore time (SGT). Please email singaporearmwrestling@gmail.com by this deadline.
This gives SGAW time to review interested athletes, confirm our selections and coordinate the necessary hotel and airport transfer arrangements before the organiser’s 26 September deadline.
Singapore Armwrestling (SGAW) invites interested Singaporean athletes to contact us promptly for consideration for selection.
Only Singapore citizens will be considered. For selected athletes, SGAW will sponsor the registration fee for every eligible competition class and arm they enter.
Expressing interest does not guarantee selection or a competition place.
Represent Singapore on the world stage
Hosted by the People’s Armwrestling Federation of India, the championships will take place at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel Delhi, with competition across sub-junior, junior, youth, senior and masters divisions.
This is an opportunity to test your preparation against international competition, gain experience and represent Singapore alongside fellow athletes.
Act now: booking and payment deadline is 26 September
The organiser requires hotel and airport transfer reservations and payment by 26 September 2026. Accommodation bookings must be coordinated through the national federation.
Contact us promptly so there is time to discuss selection, confirm your arrangements and coordinate bookings. After the deadline, accommodation prices may increase by 25%, and availability cannot be guaranteed. Return airport transfers rise from €40 to €60 per person when booked late.
Although WAF’s online team registration closes on 14 October, hotel and transfer arrangements must be made earlier.

Apply for your own India visa
Interested Singaporeans must apply for their own visa to India. Use the official government portal and ensure your application reflects your purpose of travel as a competition participant.
India’s official e-Visa guidance lists sports-related activities under the e-Business visa category. Supporting documents include an invitation from the relevant Indian sports federation and approval from India’s Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Coordinate with SGAW on obtaining the organiser’s supporting documents and confirming the appropriate application route.
